§ Privacy / Jelonyx AusPost Bulk Labels

Privacy Policy.

Jelonyx AusPost Bulk Labels is a Shopify app provided by Jelonyx. This policy explains what the app collects, why it is used, and how to contact us.

What the app collects

Jelonyx AusPost Bulk Labels collects the following data to operate the service:

  • Shop identity: your Shopify shop domain and OAuth session tokens, used to authenticate the app and identify your store.
  • Australia Post API credentials: your account number, API key, and API password, stored encrypted in the app database and used only to create shipments and labels on your behalf.
  • Merchant settings: your default sender address, parcel dimensions, and billing plan, stored so the app can apply them to new label requests.
  • Order and recipient data: when you generate labels, the app reads order data from Shopify including order IDs, recipient names, delivery addresses, phone numbers, item descriptions, and declared values. This data is sent to Australia Post to create the shipment.
  • Shipment records: tracking numbers, consignment IDs, and label PDF files returned by Australia Post are stored permanently so you can view label history and reprint at any time.
  • Job and audit records: timestamps, job IDs, and success/failure outcomes for each label creation request, used for troubleshooting and support.

The app does not collect payment card details.

How the data is used

The app uses this data to:

  • authenticate your Shopify session and maintain access to the app;
  • send recipient and parcel data to Australia Post's API to create eParcel, MyPost Business, and StarTrack shipments and labels;
  • write tracking numbers back to Shopify orders as fulfillment records;
  • store label PDFs for permanent history and one-click reprint;
  • generate end-of-day manifests in PDF and CSV format;
  • troubleshoot failed label requests and respond to support queries.

The app does not sell merchant or customer data.

Data sharing

The app shares data with the following parties:

  • Australia Post: recipient names, delivery addresses, and parcel details are sent to Australia Post's eParcel, MyPost Business, or StarTrack API to create shipments. Australia Post's own privacy policy governs how they handle this data.
  • Shopify: tracking numbers and fulfillment status are written back to your Shopify orders via Shopify's Admin API.
  • Railway: the app database and file storage are hosted on Railway, an infrastructure provider. Data at rest is stored within Railway's infrastructure.

The app does not share data with advertising networks or data brokers.

Where data is stored

All app data (merchant settings, API credentials, order records, shipment records, and label PDFs) is stored in a PostgreSQL database and file storage hosted on Railway.

Label PDFs are stored permanently while the app is installed, so you can reprint any label at any time from the History tab.

Retention and deletion

When a merchant uninstalls the app, Jelonyx AusPost Bulk Labels receives Shopify's mandatory uninstall and privacy webhooks. The app deletes shop session data and merchant settings as part of uninstall handling.

Fulfillment records and tracking numbers already written to Shopify orders remain in your Shopify admin unless you delete them in Shopify.

If you have a data deletion request, email support@jelonyx.com and we will process it within 30 days.

Security

Australia Post API credentials are stored encrypted. Access to merchant app data is limited to the authenticated Shopify shop. Logs are configured to avoid storing API keys, passwords, or raw customer payloads.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the app changes. The latest version will be published at this URL.
